Apparently, I’ve lost my mind…
Last summer, when I saw that the writing software I use was going to begin offering book sales on its platform, I hesitated. My brain went back to ten years ago when I’d tried to query Keeper’s Reign for the first time. I said I wouldn’t do it, and I couldn’t go through the querying process a second time. The first was one of a few things that sent my mental health into a downward spiral that I still have yet to climb out of fully.
Thankfully, I have the world’s best cheerleaders. My mom, soul’s mate, and best friend refused to let me ignore the opportunity. So, I applied—and I got in.
Fast-forward to October 30th and Keeper’s Reign was published on Campfire Reading. By mid-November, it was also on Amazon.
Success isn’t what I would say I’ve seen so far, but what I lack in sales, I make up for in brilliant ARC readers, a HUGE community of authors who support and cheer each other on, and all the friends I’ve made over at Campfire headquarters around the fire. All of them have made the stress, struggle, and anxiety worth it.
So much so that I’m doing it a second time. Yup! Keeper’s Secrets, book 2 in the Chronicles from Alku universe, and the second book in The Final Keeper Trilogy, is releasing in June. Like…twenty days from now. I’ve lost my mind. That’s the only explanation. That’s the only reason I’d go through all of this drama a second time…right? Sure.
If that were true, though…I wouldn’t have two more books scheduled for release in the next ten months or another ten books written and waiting in the wings for their turn in the spotlight.
