During the Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of people took up sourdough bread making, or knitting, or singing off-key from their balconies to local response personnel. While what I picked up wasn’t something new to me, it was…lost. Writing and Alku had been lost to me for years by that point.
Until one day, I was driving home, and the portmanteaus, Spayn, popped into my head.
I will never forget where I was that day, or how I rushed to write down the story that had started playing in my head. I hid what I was doing from everyone. My fear was that my mojo was only back for a blip, and I didn’t want to tell people I failed.
I was very, very wrong.
It wasn’t long until I had twelve books written and/or finished that furthered the town of Alku and its people.
The love Xayn and Spence showed me, and now you, brought me back to life. Just as with Persephone, they led me out of the darkness and into the light—and I never looked back.
Spicy or Closed-door? You decide.
This is the first book that can be read as a standalone in the Alku universe, but I highly recommend that you read The Final Keeper Trilogy first. That said…there’s also something new I’m doing with this book.

Yup. You do you. Read what you love, but I won’t force or deprive you.
Oh, and don’t worry about missing content if you pick one version over the other (except the sex, obviously). I’ll make sure you don’t. 😘
I love all my readers. Those who want their stories with a bit (or more) of heat, and those who want it without. Personally, I read both.

For the FIRST time, a book from Alku will be on Kindle Unlimited. Part of the Forest (the closed-door version) will release on KU on November 27th on Amazon Kindle.
Because of that, you will ONLY find the ebook of the closed-door version on KU. I will not be selling it on my site, Campfire, or any other retailers for the time being.
I will be attending the PNW Witches’ Market in December, and (provided printing isn’t delayed), I should have both versions in both paperback and hardcover for sale.
