📜 Behind the Scenes

Sarah P. Blanchard writes dark fiction and poetry from her home in northeastern Connecticut. She taught English and communications at the University of Hawaii-Hilo and creative writing at the University of North Carolina-Asheville. Her debut novel, Drawn from Life, won a 2025 Independent Press award for New Adult Fiction. Her most recent release, Grabtown, was selected for the "200 Best Fiction Books of 2025" issue of Kirkus Reviews magazine. Recognized also for her short fiction, she's a 2025 Pushcart Prize nominee and winner of a Dorothy Daniels Fiction Award. She holds a B.A. in English and an M.B.A. in marketing. Her writing is informed by her life on farms and in small towns in New England, North Carolina, and Hawaii.
