📜 Behind the Scenes
Shannon van Toor (1993) made her debut in 2024 with her Dutch YA romantasy novel Fluister, which won the BoekGoud Genre Winner YA award. Following her debut, she continued writing across genres. Alongside the first installment of the Chocolate, Pastries and a Dash of Love series (written in English), she also wrote the impactful Dutch book Blijf maar even slikken, a passion project giving a voice to women with gynecological conditions. Some stories need to be heard, others need to be read.
Her portfolio highlights Shannon as a versatile and creative author who moves effortlessly between Young Adult fantasy, non-fiction, and feel-good fiction. Beyond writing, she expresses her creativity through workshops, makeup artistry, and her longtime love: the kitchen.
