Forever is a long time and something Marco would have never chosen for himself. Not that it matters much, because here he was—nearly ten-thousand years old and miserable for most of them.
Alone in a crowded room, that’s how Marco felt most days. Even with his two best friends, Elaric and Onnie, Marco dreaded waking up every night. The only respite he got was working in the little cafe below his apartment in the magical Sanctuary City of Alku. Every day he’d don his suit and slip his mask of happiness on. Day after day after day.
Until one evening when a curious stranger comes to town and turns Marco’s world on its head. Murders that resemble the ones his second father had committed centuries early have started occurring around the US and the angels have come to him for help. Again.
Marco’s finally forced to face his past and make a choice—let it continue to consume him...or meet it head on and fight for the forever he actually wants.
