The Curse of Orpheus
📘 Book Summary
The Curse of Orpheus is the first book in The Mythos of the Pantheon Series. It encompasses the ancient Greek tragedy, Orpheus and Eurydice, with a modern twist to the story. Orpheus loses Eurydice a second time and ventures into the Underworld to steal her away without the god of the Underworld knowing. Orpheus is caught and is cursed by Hades, god of the Underworld, and his wife, Persephone, goddess of spring. Orpheus is cursed to lose Eurydice every one hundred years unless Eurydice says, 'I love you." If Eurydice fails to do so, she is taken back to the Underworld and Orpheus must wait for her return for another one hundred years.
The one flaw in Orpheus' plan: Eurydice doesn't remember who he or she is.
It is now the twenty-sixth time Eurydice is returned to the surface and Orpheus is determined to break the curse once and for all. Hades will do everything within his power to prevent Orpheus from successfully breaking the curse and returning his lost love to him. It isn't long after Eurydice's arrival that mythological monsters thought long gone begin to reappear and threaten to stop Orpheus. The Curse of Orpheus is a gripping tale of Orpheus' need for love, desperation, and the desire to return the woman he loves to him once and for all! Follow Orpheus on his journey to break the Curse Hades bestowed upon him. Will Orpheus and Eurydice finally be free?
